Blogging, the Cory Kennedy way?
I had an interesting day today — spending time with the intimates, stealing trash (Jonathan: “I swear, there’s no morality involved!”, Ray smiles and frantically nods), reflecting, and recouping.
I took these photos with a camera phone so I apologize beforehand for the terrible quality.
Clark came home from New York today and gave me my gift. I miss hanging out with him and studying for tests in his car.
Johnny and I decided to run downtown to revisit past favorites. Can someone say .. vegan food? Johnny was begging and begging for chicken from University Chicken.
San Fernando and South First Street, my home if I lived on the streets
I finally got to go to Ego Mechanix to visit Joann. We took the long way and took the stairs instead of the elevators. Joann was working with a client so I couldn’t say hi.
I love her salon.
We left Ego Mechanix and went to Good Karma, which was conveniently right across the street. As a Yelp.com reviewer puts it — “a hipster hang out”. Some men from the VTA were eating, but not many hipsters besides Ryan and the new girl.
That’s Johnny standing next to the VTA guy.
My comfort food — brown rice with soy, tofu scramble, thai tofu curry, and tofu in rich soy
I love the new GK paintings this month, reminds me of the Camille Rose Garcia exhibit at the SJ Art Museum during the summer
We stopped at Purist for awhile after GK. Nothing my style, but I loved the interior design
And at the end of the day … I’m holding a makeshift portfolio in my hand with the new poster I bought from Ryan
So .. the best part of my day! I finally received my Eric Powers Lovemakers concert poster from Ryan. Eric didn’t sign it or anything, but I plan to buy more of his stuff when I come back.
Did I tell you The Lovemakers is the best band … ever? Their sound is unique — they got kicked out of band practice for making out. Making out lead to making love. Making love lead to making great music.
If you’re in need of some good eargasms, download their Misery Loves Company EP.
Went to the badminton game to take photos — Evergreen people are unfortunately good. Unfortunate for the other team, I mean. Congrats to Kali, Ray, Sheena, and Jonathan! I’m not close enough to anyone else to congratulate the rest of the team — but great job!
Phillip came to visit, but he was crabby and tired from his trip home from San Diego. Sorry for making you come!
Got home, took a nap, and then went to the “Good Friday” mass with Daniel and Chris.
