The state of the world

I’m heartbroken!

Today, I discovered that my ideal vehicle, the 20-year-old Volkswagen, is in no way, shape or form, environmentally safe. I have realized this before, but my ignorance if it’s magnitude allowed me to dream and dream … until today.

If a buy or use a Volkswagen, I would be contributing to the effects of global warming! To the increased CO2 levels in the air! Imagine all the non-environmentally safe possibilities!

But the way I see it — we’re all going to die, either from nuclear warfare or the effects of global warming. Whichever comes first. Unless we miraculously plan so that global warming and nuclear warfare coincides together, then maybe (just maybe), we could save ourselves from our inevitable self-destruction. But the possibilities of that is ridiculously impossible.

Being animal friendly and environmentally safe is so difficult!

All this worldly wisdom was once the unamiable heresy of some wise man. — Henry David Thoreau

Henry David Thoreau. Very wise individual.
Thank you for your comment, I am very addicted to the crisp pages of the moleskine. The hardest part is the very first page. Everytime I purchase it I never know how to start.

Sorry about your Volkswagon heartbreak :[

  2. Who ever said being right was easy? As a concerned citizen of the planet earth, and future parent that would like to see his children grow in a green world, I thank you for your efforts. :)

  3. I use cleaning supplies from Method.

    I recycle, a lot

I use bags instead of plastic grocery bags

    I buy organic flowers..

    I eat some organic food.

    I think I’m pretty good ;)

  4. I recycle paper if I can.

I refuse to wear fur clothing.

    I think I’m pretty good ;)

Also, I’ve made a refusal to drive a gas-power vehicle. I agree with you. Have you seen the films “An Inconvenient Truth” and “Who Killed the Electric Car”? They were the reasons why I made the refusal. That’s why I’m delaying learning to drive, even though I turn 16 in 18 days.

Then again, I still eat animal products because don’t animals also eat other animals? Are human beings also considered animals too? But then again, we may be pushing the food chain a bit too far.
